We had a capacity 52 players at a hugely enjoyable day at Thetford with 32 members and 20 guests.

It was great to see 5 members making their first event of the season including Luke Molyneux who had to pull out of his first two booked events (generously donating the £270 paid to this year’s charity Magpas Air Ambulance) so third time lucky!

Sponsors, Ashton Legal, were represented by Michael Frape and Fiona Stuart who had mixed fortunes golf wise with Fiona close to repeating her Thetford win of 2022, and our former VP and Captain, Michael collecting the wooden spoon! Michael spoke movingly about the tragic loss of Anthony Barnes who will never be forgotten.

Just 1 point separated the top 4 members with Dave Clark playing off 6 coming first and scoring the lowest gross of 77.

This win takes Dave to the top of the leader board for the Anthony Barnes Award (Order of merit) with Paul A Smith in 2nd and Michael Temple in 3rd.
